Sean Can Count On Us is a campaign to support Sean Curtis and his family as they cope with and persevere through Sean’s ALS diagnosis which he received in late 2017. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a rare disease also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. It has no known cure. Click here to learn more about ALS.
The Story (At Least From My Perspective)
My name is Jay Dunne. Many of you visiting this page don’t know me and some of you do…that’s not really important. What brings you to this page is a connection you may share with Sean Curtis – a family member, a friend, a co-worker, a classmate, a fellow intelligence analyst or just a fellow human being.
Sean is my co-worker and teammate and we’d probably be closer friends if I didn’t work remotely from Indianapolis and he currently in Annapolis, MD. He joined my team in November 2016 and has made remarkable contributions in such a short amount of time. There have been several occasions upon which Sean has been recognized for going above and beyond for his client and for his teammates.
For many of us when we think of Sean, the first thing that comes to mind is his quick wit and sense of humor - the way he looks to share a laugh or a joke with others.
Its no exaggeration when I say that Sean’s comedic abilities had half of our department in tears of laughter during our 2017 annual meeting.
I haven’t known Sean very long, but in the time I have I can easily see how he has touched many lives and brought smiles and laughter to so many. As we work together to support Sean and his family during the weeks, months and years ahead let us know how you know Sean and just what an awesome guy he is! This page is a place to share good memories, words of enouragement and cheer...its a base of support for this wonderful guy! Please visit often! What We Want To Achieve
Our initial goal is to exceed $15,000 in 2018 to support Sean and his family for a tough road ahead. The list is simple for now, but we will update the page fequently as needs become more specific. For now, know your contributions will be used for a variety of purposes:
- Relocation assistance for Sean and his family to a new residence.
- Ground and Air Travel expenses for Sean, his parents and visiting family members
- Physical Therapy Equipment and Services
- Assitive Equipment and Technologies
