Scott AND Scottie’s Lymphoma FIGHT

This campaign is for my dear friend, Eula Helpling’s son Scott Mobley, and grandson Scottie Mobley who within months of each other were both diagnosed with cancer.
Scott was recently diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and has been receiving difficult and exhausting chemotherapy treatments. He is a Desert Storm Navy Veteran who bravely served his country. He has now been bravely, yet quietly and courageously, battling his cancer with his family by his side. Throughout his treatment he has always maintained a positive outlook and he has kept a great sense of humor.
Despite the positivity Scott has kept about his own diagnosis and treatment, it has been hard for him and his family to cope with a devastating twist of fate. Just last week, Scott and his family learned that his 21 year old son, Scottie, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Both father and son will now be receiving treatment simultaneously and fighting for their lives, side by side.
Scott and Scottie have already incurred significant expenses just to get Medical Insurance secured for Scottie and the copays and deductibles incurred for the treatments already received. The treatments and side effects require significant time away from their jobs which impacts any income they can earn. Treatments will continue for many months as will the financial hardship. When a family member is diagnosed with cancer it affects the entire family. It takes a toll physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially. Multiply that times TWO for this family.
