Scarlett's Cause for Her Paws

A super girl in need of a super dog. Due to ongoing health issues including congenital heart disease, generalized and focal seizures and other related health issues this super hero of a child is needing funds for a super dog (trained seizure service dog).
Scarlett is a 2 year old little girl who has been through more battles than most of us go through in a lifetime. Scarlett was diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease at 2 months old. At 5 months old Scarlett went into heart failure and had her first open heart surgery at Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children. With many post op complications, a month and a half later Scarlett was able to go home with her family. When Scarlett turned one, she was diagnosed with Intractable Epilepsy. She suffers from 40+ seizures a day. At 15 months old Scarlett went in for her second open heart surgery. Scarlett is currently in physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and feeding therapy. Her mother, takes care of Scarlett, as her CNA and prepares her restricted meal plan daily.
After many months of research the family has found the a great place who will provide the special training for Scarlett's personal service dog (seizure dog). The dog will protect Scarlett during her seizures providing safety and getting the attention of others. The dog will also help promote Scarlett's independence by giving her the feeling of security and being her companion. After finding the the perfect dog based off of personality assesments, training, and familly training the cost is approximately $8,000.
