update unfortunately we where unable to get to an amount in time before we ran out of time we where evictees illegally on 12/9 it was the most embarrassing and worst thing with my children watching and not understanding what’s happening and with how cold it is outside we sat for about 4 hours before being able to find a ride and thankfully a temporary place while we still try to raise the money need for a home outside of these nightmare motels and rip off we where paying upwards of 1200 a month for a room smaller then a studio it’s sad. I can only pray something major happens within the next two weeks so my boys can have somewhat of a Christmas there already wasn’t much of a thanksgiving but we at least all had eat got her even if no one else. Again thank you so much to everyone who had helped so far it so amazingly appreciated this COVID-19 year has really torn us down and beat us up from having a home to into a motel and losing our jobs to unemployment jerking us around Florida unemployment is the most pathetic excuse of help that we technically pay into it is one of the shorted and lowest paying in all of the United States This is beyond one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do and I’ve never done one of these before, so please bear with me. As some of you may know, we’ve been going through quite a bit in the past few months. COVID-19 has really done a number on us, to say the least, with us losing where we were originally living, and both of us losing our jobs, it’s been pure hell.... We ended up in an extended stay (where we are currently) because our former roommate is not a very good person. Where we live wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t for the management, he has done nothing but harass us since we’ve been here, taking advantage of the fact that we have nowhere else to go, he makes me uncomfortable because I always feel like I’m being watched, he has purposely cut off the power and the AC to our room 5 times....Our only vehicle was having some issues (starter going out, two blown tires, flywheels, battery) about a month ago or so and he knew this but to be a jerk, went and had it towed after we had just spent everything we had been saving (almost $1000) to get it fixed. Now he is trying to evict us and we’re having to go to court about it because he’s trying to sue us, even though we’ve been paying and are up to date. The money being raised is going towards moving expenses (storage unit, U-Haul, for a place to stay until we find something permanent) legal fees, getting our vehicle out of the tow yard, etc. Anything will help and even if you can’t donate you can help by sharing.
