Please help make my daughter laugh and smile again
(Ashley).
Our world fell apart on 1-17-2011. Ashley had been complaining of jaw pain . She was 14 yrs old at this time. We checked many doctors and dentist before she was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma. She then had to go through 8 months of Chemo and radiation treatment. Then on 9-11-2011 we were given hope when the doctor advised that the tumor was gone. Her hair began to grow back so soft and pretty. Then we found out on 11-10-2011 that her jaw bone was destroyed by the radiation, so more surgery was needed so they used a cadaver bone to replace the jaw bone. She went to a survivors prom (Sandbox..wonderful and caring organization) and I was so happy thinking she will be okay.
Then it happened. On 9-22-2012 the tumor returned in full force. She had to resume Chemo. Having lost so much weight and with an impaired immune system her weakened body seems to have lost all strength to fight.
The doctors are now telling me that Ashley's tumor was shrinking, but have now found another mass above the tumor. The doctors are not sure if it is a tumor or scar tissue. She will be getting a biopsy very soon to find out what it is. Please lord let it be good news..
There is no father to help with the expenses. Since she has been sick I cannot work as she needs round the clock care. We never go anywhere, but back in fourth to the hospital and doctor visits. We live a far distance from the hospital and the burden with gas is really hurting me emotional and physically. I am trying so hard to stay strong for my child but the burdens are heavy on me.
Please If you can find it in your heart to help us. Any amount is so appreciated and will go toward trying to find hope for Ashley, and keeping her smiling for as long as possible.
