I couldn't need your help now more than I ever could've before..


This is me putting myself out there like I've never done before.


So 5 years ago this February I got off work early and went to my parents house to take a nap since I wasn't feeling well. When I woke up over 5 hours later to use the restroom, the sheet was too heavy to lift off of me. Very, very long story short... 5 years later, 16 doctors & specialists, 3 different cities, at least 30+ xrays, tens of thousands of dollars, and countless trips to the ER... I went to the Mayo Clinic to seek a diagnosis for the massive, massive & severe pain I experienced every day of my life since then. I got diagnosed with undifferentiated connective tissue autoimmune disorder. So, basically my body is attacking myself, my blood vessels, my joints, and organs. I flew back to Texas after being in MN for 18 days to get away from the -55 degree weather during the insane polar vortex in Rochester, MN making me hurt even worse. Since I've been back, I have been unable to start my new infusion that will make all of this pain go away. Due to the dr in Houston not getting the paperwork submitted until 5 days after my visit, then all of the drama, politicking, paperwork, logistics between the dr, BCBS ins, and the pharmacy that has the infusions.. They're telling me it'll be at least another 5-7+ business days before they can even ship my medicine to my Houston dr to get the infusion. I think ive talked to every possible supervisor at Acreedo Pharmacy & BCBS Insurance, pouring my heart out, begging for everything to be submitted as urgent. But it seems all I can get is 'I'm sorry for the inconvenience, I understand your frustration', but I'm begging for someone to think of me not as just another number, but as their daughter & to expedite this horribly long process.


Now, at the mayo clinic in Minnesota, they have the infusion and said I need to get up there ASAP and they're waiting on me & ready. My body is shutting down as the amount of pain I'm in cannot be put into words. I need to get to Minnesota this week and get my infusion as soon as i possinly can. I'm a single parent with an AMAZING 9 year old child, who is very active in 3 extracurricular activities and remains an honor roll student every six weeks, who watches Jordan Jones' every move on the court & can't contain her excitement when "her future coach" (you know him as Coach Gary Blair) shakes her hands after the games. I've never been in this much pain in my life, I know that there are people out there that are worse off than me. I'm asking for help, for the first time ever, to please help me fly to Minnesota, get a cab to the mayo clinic, spend the night and come back home to my baby girl. The physical things I cannot do without my infusion brings me to tears to even talk about. Basically, nobody knows if I will be able to last 2 or 3 more weeks to get my infusion here in Texas. So I have to give it all I have to get to Minnesota. Not only for me, but for my baby that depends on her Mommy.
Anything that anyone is willing to donate is GREATLY appreciated from my heart. Even if its just sharing this, so that maybe someone else is able to help me. I will forever be grateful and you will be in my eyes, an angel sent to me. I thank everyone for the prayers and comforting talks as well. I would NOT be asking for help if I didn't need it, we (my mom & i) just spent 18 days living in MN & that plus airfare hit the bank account pretty hard. I am so grateful for my Directors at A&M, those ladies, my director supervisor, have been amazing to me. I love my job & the amazing people I work with, the support I receive from them is comforting, i want so bad to get this infusion so i can also get back to work, i have to get back to helping our Aggies find jobs at the Career Center! I hate even asking, but at this point it's my life & my baby needs me...
