Medical Expenses

In August of 2013 a surgical procedure left me in a three month hospitalization and battle with infection and severe complications in Long Beach, California. Multiple Hospitalizations and long distance ambulance rides ensued throughout the winter of 2013 and spring of 2014. During this time my employer terminated my contract due to 'uncertain medical outlook'. Thus loosing both my income as well as my insurance coverage in November of 2013. I have been extremely ill since the surgery, unable to eat any solid foods as both stricture and scar tissue have narrowed both the esophagus and upper quadrant of my stomach to such a size that food will not pass, any attempt causes the stomach to contract and push food back up. I am now in the care of doctors at Stanford Medical Center in Palo Alto, California. Extensive reconstructive abdominal surgery and bypass are my only options for long term survival. Although I have recently returned to work my savings and retirement are long gone and my new insurance I will have out of pocket costs expected to be between 5000.00 to 6500.00. It is with great shame that I must admit, I just don't have it to give. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am a mother, grandmother, adoptive mother, foster mother and wife who has simply reached the end of my current means due to long term medical.
