Save Courtney from Lymphoma

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Morgan and I am the co-owner/dad of Courtney. When I was a child, I desperately wanted a dog to call my own and for my 12th birthday, my parents took me to the local animal shelter and we found a scared, shy 6 month old pup that we named Courtney. Soon after we got her, she got very sickly and had apparently had too much exposure to Parvovirus. After about a week of intense aggressive treatment, she recovered just fine and went back to her reserved, happy self. She lived with my mom, sister and I for 6-7 years, where she was content, but stayed very reserved due to the other dogs that lived with us. She was submissive to the other dogs and tried her best to stay away from them as much as she could. After I graduated high school, I moved out to a duplex with some guys my age for about two years and she came with me. Now being the head (and only) dog of the house, she started to come out of her shell. Little did we know that as happy as Courtney was, she still had some blossoming to do, and that's when CaSandra came along. We started dating and soon moved in together, where Courtney went from my little buddy to becoming our little "child" that we spoiled like crazy. For the next year and a half it was just the three of us, conquering the world together. As Courtney has been getting older, preventative medical maintenance has got increasingly intense. Among other things, she started having little growths pop up as many older dogs do, so we have been getting them removed as frequently as her attending vet, my mom, recommended.  Well, a few weeks ago, we noticed she had two new lumps manifest around her lymph nodes by her throat that felt hard and not all like her little fatty lipomas (fat deposits) we're used to finding. Upon consultation with Mom, we decided to have them removed right away and sent off for diagnostics. The results came back and we were devastated that it is indeed a High Grade Lymphoma. After research into chemotherapy, we found that this cancer has a quite positive prognosis with treatment. Courtney is playful and ornery, even after the diagnosis, so we have decided to fight by her side at any cost. We are starting chemo this week and have decided to go as long as we can afford to. We are college students scraping by, but we have managed to start a savings account for situations like this, unfortunately we only have half of the cost of treatment saved up. We cannot describe what this little girl means to us, but we can fight for her, and that's what we intend to do. We know in our hearts that she CAN beat this cancer, we just need the funds to prove it. Any small donation makes the world of difference to our little family, please help us save Courtney.
