As you may be aware, WHITE WAVE's future is in grave danger and we are facing eviction in the next few weeks. Unfortunately, Hurricane Sandy hit us very hard and causing extensive damages which exceeded over $80,000. At the same time, other revenue has been slow in coming, and so, we have a shortfall (in the next two weeks) for which we were not adequately prepared. At this time we are seeking your support of $25,000 to enable us to continue doing this vital work.

For over 25 years, WHITE WAVE has brought the best talents in the dance/arts world in the United States and abroad, to enthusiastic audiences in New York City. In particular, our three annual dance festivals (DUMBO DANCE FESTIVAL, WAVE RISING SERIES and CoolNY Dance Festival) have become a solid mainstay in the cultural life and vibrancy of not just the DUMBO area, but in the lives of dance lovers far beyond. We have had generous and steadfast supporters whose contributions have enabled us to keep our lights on for the countless performers, choreographers, and musicians who brought their talents to an ever growing and appreciative audience.

The possible loss of our beloved space at 25 Jay Street would be an incredible and irreversible blow not only to White Wave, but to the larger dance world we all know and appreciate.

It would be an unthinkable outcome, particularly in light of so many years of growth and success, from our first days in a dusty, dingy warehouse that we worked so hard to save and transform into the shining, beautiful performance/theater space that is home to so many dance lovers today.

WHITE WAVE's mission is to be a potent stimulus for change and expansion of the dance/arts world through the creation of new dance works, the production of dance concerts, and education through dance classes.
