Please help us to save 15 year old Zoe's smile!
Zoe is my sweet daughter. I noticed something strange recently. Her two front teeth were moving. After extensive X-rays & consults with six different doctors, all have concluded she has THE most complex set of horizontal impactions that they have ever seen.
We are not insured, and she requires $9350 in intense oral surgeries & orthodontics to "reverse" the very rare triple impacted teeth themselves. If this is not fixed, she will not have use of these three front teeth(two of them are her canines.) The goal is to correct the sideways shift of her healthy exposed teeth(caused by the impactions), so the impactions can be moved into place. This is 3+ year process.
She feels scared, buy also hopeful knowing there is a solution now and that someday she can feel happy about her smile.

Horizontal impactions themselves are NOT extremely rare. But Zoe has THREE. Two of the teeth are laying on each other inside her lower jaw, encroaching upon the nerve. The other one is above her top front tooth. You can see it in the Xray.
Braces are required to move her teeth back into proper position so the impactions can be exposed surgically(by cutting through the gums and bone.) They must then have a chain attached to them each, and then anchored to her braces. Each chain is then slowly cranked tighter until her teeth are drug through the bone into their correct place.
If the impacted teeth were allowed to continue to "travel" through the bone on their own, as teeth do, without intervention, they may damage the roots of her healthy teeth. This must be addressed soon while she is young.
I have saved a $1,000 for the deposit to get the process started by getting her braces on this week. However, the surgeries have to be paid in FULL before the procedures can be done.
She's smiling bigger here than I have seen her in awhile!
After my research and careful observation, I feel that she is in good hands, & that these doctors are some of the best in the country!Drs. McLaughlin, Bailey, and Crane are all in Flagstaff, AZ. Her new dentist, who is also great, is Dr. Hughes in Sedona.
This situation was not caught before in her xrays from another dentist a few years ago, when it would have been much easier to fix--and we don't know why--but we are moving forward now to save her smile! She takes good care of her teeth!
