Army Veteran K9 Needs Surgery

Hello,
My name is Cam and this is my dog Turk. K9 Turk has served as a military working dog for the past six years until he was forced to retire due to his decline in health. Turks service included multiple deployments, as he worked alongside our nations warriors to defend our freedoms. I am desperately trying to raise money for Turk as he has just been diagnosed with non small cell adenocarcinoma - or lung cancer.
This unforeseen turn of events has been devastating to me and my family, as Turk has become one of our own. Turk has been given roughly five months to live without treatment. The good news is that we can help save Turk and get rid of the cancer with chemo treatments and surgery, which could save his life!
Unfortunately, I do not have the money to afford Turk this treatment by myself. On account of Turks service to this nation, multiple veterinarian in our community have agreed to offer treatment at a discounted rate, which will roughly cost $4500. I hope that with your help, we can save Turk's life! Any donation, no matter how little, can make such a difference!
UPDATE 09/24: First I want to say thank you for all of the support! Alright, so after undergoing the first round of treatment Turks prognosis was a not as great as expected. As a result the doctors have decided the best route for treatment would be to intervene surgically and try to remove the cancerous tissue itself. Again, this has sort of been one of those unexpected monkey wrenches thrown into the situation, and all I can do is hope for the best! Some fantastic non profits have stepped up to help with the treatment, but with this surgery I am looking at another 2k in medical expense. I I have began to contemplate having Turk put down, but we've gone this far..so why not take one more shot with this. Again, I can't thank you enough for all of your support and I apologize about the delays in updates!
