Save Simba

Hi, my name is Simba! I am a 2 year old English Bulldog/Pug. I am the most loving/cuddling pup you will ever meet! I love to play outside with my big sister and go camping. I'm a very social pup and love meeting new people.  I'm very energetic and, love putting a smile on everyone's face. On March 19th things took a scary turn for me. I had to undergo two surgeries in one week, because I accidentally ate a piece of my favorite red rubber toy. My Doctor had to do emergency surgery on me, and removed the rubber toy as well as a piece of my intestine. I was doing so great recovering! However, things took a turn for the worst.  On March 24th I was rushed to the Emergency Room in Akron. My Doctors said that I needed to have emergency exploratory surgery to find out what was wrong. It turns out my repaired intestine tissue came apart. When it came apart the intestinal fluid damaged my organs causing extreme inflammation and infection making me septic. The Doctors gave me a 10% chance of making it through the night after surgery. Against all odds I made it! I am still very much in this fight! I have had to undergo two blood transfusions, and am still in the ICU fighting for my life (March 27th). My parents (Leslie&Carlos) have exhausted all resources to get me better, spending over $10,000. I continue to make strides everyday while in the hospital, but it is very costly to keep me here. My Doctors believe that I have a strong chance of full recovery under the proper care. I  still need more time in the hospital to fight this battle. I'm just a little boy and have so much life left to live. It costs about $500 a day to keep me here, and continue the medications to improve my recovery. I don't expect anything from anyone, but I am very appreciative of any donation. Without your help I may not make it. Every little bit will make all the difference.
