The Help SAVE REESE Campaign!

Reese, the sweetest soul having rottweiler, was diagnosed with having cancer and needs surgery to save her life! Reese started limping about a month ago, and we thought she just hurt herself jumping up and down or something because she is always super happy. My girlfriend and I thought she just needed some rest and to stay off of it, but after a couple weeks we brought her to the vet. They thought it was a pulled muscle. After explaining how I was helping and treating Reese's wound, they said if Reese is still limping after 2 more weeks to bring her back in. She went back and forth with getting better then limping again. Almost 2 weeks later after the initial vet visit (last Saturday, April 7th) we had to bring her to the emergency vet clinic because there was suddenly a bump. They took x-rays and results came back that she has a tumor but the cancer has not spread to anywhere else in here body. After the shell-shock the doctor explained that amputation would be the only remedy. My girlfriend and I have debated whether to get a biopsy to make 100% sure or ask for a second opinion, but it is a very risky procedure. Either way her bone in her forearm is getting eaten away. So her arm/leg will have to get amputated regardless and it has to happen soon before the cancer spreads. Chemo treatment will also be needed. BUT we are determined to help Reese through this! The cancer is called osteosarcoma and has been wreaking havoc on the Rottweiler community. Any help will truly be appreciated. Reese is a smart, young, silly, and beloved dog by all!
