Panache Dance is a local business, committed to fostering community and providing affordable and inclusive dance lessons for ALL types of people. In our 5 1/2 years of doing business, we have done AMAZING things!
We were the first business in Bloomington to offer Zumba, Triple Threat, and Bollywood. We have brought on ballroom teachers of a high caliber, including a World Exhibition Champ, and a Grand National Champ. We have sponsored one of our teachers to go on to win several important drag competitions. We have produced very high-quality dance showcases, highlighting the amazing efforts of our talented students and teachers.
However, unfortunately, Panache has never made enough money to support itself. The owner Sandy Myers has worked an estimated 10,000 hours without any compensation at all. She juggles a lot of responsibility doing the daily administrative work, advertising, cleaning as well as her work teaching. Currently she is no longer in a financial position to donate all of her time to keep the studio running at its current level. Sandy has signed a 6-month lease to keep Panache going and at the end of that lease the business needs to be in a more viable position to continue.
To that end Sandy created the Panache Board of Directors. With thier help she decided that what Panache needs in order to keep going & continue to provide Bloomington with a wonderful dance & community space is a finacial "cushion". This "cushion" will allow the business to grow, advertise, and hire support staff to accomplish basic tasks & create special events that are profitable & fun.
