Save Kimber and Simba

Kimber and Simba are white lion cubs, two of the twenty-two animals being kept in small cages in a garage, part of a “home zoo” in Argentina. They were twenty-three, but Rufus, the oldest tiger, died three days ago. The other twenty animals living with Kimber and Simba are 5 dogs, 6 cats, two tigers, a black panther, two more white lion cubs, an artic fox, and three red wolves (one adult female and two pups).
These innocent animals are kept in inhumane conditions, they are malnourished and their cages are so small they can barely move. Their paws are injured from standing on the wire mesh cage floors, their eyes are infected, and the marks on their teeth show how desperately they’ve tried to escape. The biggest animals, like the dogs and tigers, are abused and have injuries in different parts of their bodies. The police suspect that the animals “best” treated could be for sale, like the wolf and lion cubs. It is prohibited to have such species as pets, but people who want “exotic pets” buy them on the black market.
Sergio Martinez, the owner of the property, refused to turn over his animals when asked to, and threatened to kill them if anyone tried to take them away from him. He has also ignored many offers from wildlife sanctuaries, natural reserves and shelters to take the animals and rehabilitate them.

Yesterday two volunteers from a near shelter were allowed to see the animals for the first time. Catalina, one of the volunteers, said: "It is a wonder these poor animals are still alive, the conditions they’re in are appalling. They won’t last much longer if they don’t get the help they need, many of them are too weak to even move, and you can see the spark of life almost gone from their eyes, it’s very sad. I felt so impotent looking at them and not being able to do anything. Please, we need to help them somehow, we can't let them die." Despite leaving the place feeling so sad, Catalina and Matías had some good news: Mr. Martinez finally agreed to let us help the animals.
This is great news, veterinarians will check the animals and treat them! However, even though there are a few vets who offered to check the animals for free, they won’t do it as often as these animals need it, which is three days a week at least. Once the treatments start, we can’t interrupt them. This means that we need to afford at least two vets, since they are 22 animals, and we need to afford the medicine needed, which will probably be the most expensive part. Antibiotics, injections, and first aid supplies are a given, as well as anything else the vets require. We also need to afford food so they can recover and regain their strength. All the medicine in the world won't work if these animals don't eat.
