Inavanti arrived at our rescue on 7/13/17 from Gulfstream Race Track. He had suffered a bad knee chip and continuously fell down on placings until his last race when he finished 75 lengths behind the winner.
We had the vet out on 7/20/17 to X-ray his knee and fetlocks in preparation for the surgery to clean up all the bone fragments in his knee joint. Unfortunately, he began colicing that day and that has turned into weeks of on again/off again mild colics.
After many, many days of treatments, exam and tests, the vets have diagnosed Inavanti with hindgut ulcers and we are now treating him for them and will have his surgery scheduled when his body is ready for it.
His current vet bills are just over $8,000 (including his scheduled surgery). Rescue Life is a volunteer based, small 501c3 charity that is approved by the IRS to solicit for donations and we desperately need them to help with Inavanti's vet bills.
