Help a nonprofit save an Eye of Toni, an Orange Tabby kitten
Tax deductible
Hi, I'm Sally.
I found these two beautiful kittens under my shed in Savannah, GA, a couple of weeks ago.
When their mother showed them to me, I could tell they were in pretty bad shape. I noticed one in particular had something terribly wrong with its eye.
Hoping to save the eye of one kitten and possibly the life of both, my only hope was to reach out to Renegade Paws Rescue, a local animal rescue, here in Savannah.
They loaned me a trap, and I was able to catch them, and then Renegade helped with medication and further advice.
My daughter, Allison, had originally named them Tony & Toni - Tony (the male) and Toni (with an Eye, the female). I am pleased to say that after multiple days of 24-hour care, and attention, we officially changed her name to Tonii, or Toni with two eyes!
It is important for everyone to know, with the over abundance of stray and feral animals in the area, Renegade has recently needed to focus their attention mainly on dogs, however, they care so deeply about any animal in need, that they so willingly helped me care for these two stray kittens. Without their support and kindness, I'm not sure either kitten would have survived.
In the 6 months that I've been volunteering for Renegade Paws, the experience has opened my eyes to the overwhelming cost, effort, care, and unfortunately, sometimes heartache, it takes to save even one animal. All in the hopes that they will have a better life, and eventually find a forever home.
I am NOT looking for reimbursement for myself, but will donate ALL money raised to Renegade Paws Rescue. They are an amazing organization!
If you can help them further their mission, even $10 will make an impact.
Anything you can afford would be amazing, however, knowing that money is really tight for many of us right now, if you can even offer up a couple of hours of your time to volunteer, to ANY shelter, I know it will be much appreciated, and the gratification it brings is priceless!
Thank you!
