Save our Counsellor

We are going to lose our brilliant counsellor if we can't raise £6000!

We are an independent counselling service working with teenage girls who are overcoming very difficult circumstances. Some of the issues they are dealing with are
Bereavement
Homelessness
Abuse 
Self harm
Bullying
Abandonment
Parental drug and alcohol abuse
Poor parental mental health
Some are in Foster Care
Some are Young Carers.

And the brilliant thing is they are all still attending school and getting an education. This is because we are based in their South East London school and are available and flexible when they need us. 

Trust and continuity are so important for our clients who have lost parents or been taken into care. We have a brilliant  counsellor who has been working with some of our clients with most need and would love to continue, but we need funds to keep her.

Only £6000 would keep this brilliant counsellor one day a week for another year. 

 Demand for our service has tripled since we started in 2012, and the levels of self harm in this client group have risen alarmingly.

We provide a much needed safe space for the girls to talk about their feelings and find a positive way forward.

All our money goes directly to providing counsellors as we are using a space that has been kindly donated. We have made these rooms cosy and welcoming, stretching our non existent budget with recycled and donated furniture, art materials, play equipment and games.

 We have applied for funding from a charity, but with cuts in all services, demand for charity funding is at record levels.

We aim always to keep our waiting list low and provide a service that can help children before a crisis hits, and we desperately need your help to continue.
