Help me save our beloved pets, Love and Joy!


One month ago my sweet little Love started wobbling. Little did I know her health would decline tremendously fast. She went from a seemingly healthy playful 6 month old kitten to completely immobile and fighting to stay alive within days. I have spent the last month nursing her back to health and let me tell you the task has been enormous. Her neurological condition calls for full time care including hand feeding, changing diapers/pads, administering meds, giving her subcutaneous fluids, doing physical therapy with her, keeping her clean and groomed...she is basically a baby and at my mercy. I have fought to keep her going all while searching for a cure. Some said to let her go. But in my heart I know that's not the right decision especially when she has life in her and is still responsive! So while her body may be failing her, I will not! 

With that said after much research and visits with 4 different veterinarians we have concluded she has fip, which is a viral disease caused by coronavirus. (No worries, she is not contagious.) Now that we finally have an answer I started treatment last week and have already seen such a dramatic difference! She is now trying to eat on her own where before I was having to squeeze food into her mouth. She can now sit up which she couldn't do last week, and her once cloudy eyes have cleared up to their crystal blue color. This treatment is working! The only issue now is that it's very expensive and she will need treatment for 84 days. Treatment is around $23 to $25 a dose per day and she must complete the full 12 weeks. On top of that she will also need future vet visits to check her labs along with other meds and fluids.

Financially this is a huge undertaking, especially for me alone as a single mom. And my funds are quickly being depleted. So I turn to my friends and family and any animal lover out there...please help me save my baby! If you can spare anything to help me continue to treat and save our precious kitten's life, my children and I would be ever so grateful! Every dollar counts! This photo is from the day I adopted her along with her sister Joy at 3 months old. She was 4.5lbs when she came to me and reached 6lbs before getting sick. She went down as low as 3.5lbs and now slowly going back up and is at 3.8lbs.

Dec 15, 2020 Love started walking funny. It progressed rapidly and she was completely immobile within 4 days.

Treatment is working! Her eyes have cleared up and she is able to open them all the way  and look around. Before she didnt have the strength to even pick up her head.

I am doing all I can to give this girl a fighting chance at having a life including administering subcutaneous fluids and medications.

Daily walks in a baby carrier. Love may not be able to walk on her own yet but my legs will be hers until she can. I have all the faith this little girl can make a recovery! Please help me see this recovery through ❤❤❤
