Post-Camino Retreat in danger

The Camino de Santiago is a phenomenon for our times. But far from being "simply a Catholic pilgrimage", the energy of this ancient way now attracts pilgrims from all over the world, from all religious beliefs or none at all, who are on a secular yet highly spiritual journey - to themselves, and their community with others. Eight hundred kilometers, often more, on foot on this trek across Spain: it is impossible to complete that and remain the same person you were when you left home...
I have long dreamed of opening something like The Little Fox House as a "post-Camino retreat": a place to reflect, relax, write, meditate or pray and above all, get ready emotionally and practically for the journey home.
But The Little Fox House is in danger of extinction!
In the past two and a half years I have welcomed over 250 pilgrims from 30 countries speaking many languages, but the one thing they have in common is often indecision, even fear: "How do I take the changes I have experienced on the Camino de Santiago back home with me?" Many have left jobs or become redundant, or have lost a spouse or a partner, or have seen a long-term relationship grind to dust. Some have just finished school or college and find themselves unable to secure a job. Some are on a promise, often in honour of a deceased love one, sometimes bringing the ashes to the "end of the world". Some have recoved from a serious illness, and a few are walking to broaden their understanding of their own God or a better sense of what the Universe really means.
I accept all, and feed them, all on a donation basis, and as a former therapist and pilgrim myself, I listen to their stories and help them to choose the next steps along the Way of their life's path.
Sounds wonderful? I agree and so have many others. Here is the dilemma: My agreement to buy this so far leased house expires at the end of this year 2014, and with the collapse of the little language school I established in hopes of securing a mortgage (this part of Galicia has been hit especially hard by the reccession which shows no sign of abating), my only recourse lies in adding to my savings and the funds I have already invested and look for a non-conventional mortgage. That means a large down-payment. If I cannot do that, I lose not only The Little Fox House, but also every penny I have already invested in it.
Will you help? I am not starting from zero. I have what I am asking from you already put aside in a special account. But it isn't enough. I urgently need funds from elsewhere and that is where you come in.
What will you spend on meals today? Even a coffee or two sacrificed on the part of enough people and we can make a substantial dent in what I am requesting. And don't consider any amount too small - it isn't, and is just as welcome as a larger one on the part of those who also believe in what I am doing and can afford to support it. Please donate; and you will ensure that many more people will remember you and your kindness for as long as I can physically maintain this little haven of peace in San Martiño do Carantoña (Pop.14).
