Save Eric
Stem-cell
transplant therapy can save my best friend.
My best friend Eric has Neuro-Behçet's disease. It is an auto-immune disease in which the body's own immune system attacks itself. It has no known cause and, up until now, had no known cure. But an exciting new treatment using one's own stem cells holds the promise of helping Eric get his life back.
He has been accepted in a stem-cell transplant program at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago Illinois, headed by Dr. Richard Burt. This process uses his own stem cells through a process similar to harvesting bone marrow to essentially give him a new, disease-free immune system.

Living on disability for an extended period of time has left Eric unable to cover the high cost of this therapy. Many expenses Medicare won't cover such as lodging, airfare to Chicago, incidentals food and incidentals while he's their, 20 percent of out-patient services and hospitalization deductible.
I'm asking you to contribute to this most worthy of causes. Every dollar you donate helps make this miracle come true and will be greatly appreciated. You are literally giving the gift of health and life itself to one of the most amazing humans I have ever met. Both he and I thank you for your generous donation more than can be put into words.
NOTE: The payments page indicates the funds are
going to Larry; this is NOT the case as
any/all donations made to this page are deposited directly into an account
setup for Eric.
