Paralyzed...NEEDS SURGERY NOW TO WALK!

Donation protected

PARALYZED LAST SATURDAY- AND SHE STILL WANTS TO PLAY BALL!                   SHE NEEDS SUGERY NOW!!!!!!!!
Our beautiful English Cream Golden Retriever, Aspen, age 3, was out playing in the yard and suddenly started yelping loudly and came running in the house dragging her back end. We rushed her to the vet, and they gave us the grave news that she is paralyzed, and that we should consider surgery or putting her down. I am a single mom, self-supporting of four beautiful children who love their puppy.  There is no way we could afford to do the MRI, anesthesia, or surgery. When seeking help from a Retriever rescue, a wonderful woman who runs the rescue told me about this website. So I am giving it a shot. The first step was to get an MRI to see exactly what's wrong. So the initial amount raised will go to her MRI AND ANESTHESIA, $2,500.00 along with her current vet bill which is up past $700, & medication which is $60.

WE GOT THE MRI & the results yesterday, 5-2-14,
BAD NEWS!!!!! RESULTS indicate SHE NEEDS SURGERY NOW!

RESULTS OF MRI---SHE MUST HAVE SURGERY NOW IN ORDER TO WALK AGAIN!  She has acute intervertebral disc extrusion ( a blown disc). We are finding out cost of surgery on Sunday or Monday but was told surgery is typically $7,500 ish. I am SO hopeful that we do not have to put our beautiful baby girl down. Myself and my four children would absolutely be devastated. Currently, Aspen is laid up in a small bathroom because the vet told us to keep her as still as possible. She's loved and given tons of attention. When she is lying there we toss the ball to her to catch because she is still full of so much life.  I hope and pray for a miracle!  THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR THIS WEBSITE, ALL OF YOU GENEROUS PEOPLE, AND FOR ALL THE LOVE THAT IS SHARED HERE! My kids and  WILL pay it forward ...that is how live...

Thank you and God bless you greatly!

UPDATE! Surgery was a success! Your support is GREATLY APPRECIATED! Dr. Balfour in Santa Monica, was amazing! He was able to remove the blown this fibers off of the spinal cord and she should return to fairly normal in six weeks he said! Now it's time for some love and recovery! Since the surgery is completed, now we know the real financial numbers/need which is why I lowered the goal amount! We could not do this without you all. God bless you!
