facebook.com/saveanative ‌August 8, 2017 it saddens me to have lost my father Randy L Preston a.k.a. "Pop's". He was a Native American from the Pit River tribe in Alturas. Randy was a military veteran during the Vietnam War, he was an Army airborne a parachute rigger. He was also an athlete of four of his favorite sports. Basketball, baseball, track and field, etc. He graduated with four letters one for each sport. Has many friends and relatives throughout California. He was also a heavy machine operator for 40+ years. He leaves his two daughters and son as well as six grand kids who will undoubtedly carry on while he has taking a journey to a land above. There will be a memorial held in the Sacramento area which will also proceed to him being transported back to his hometown in Modoc County the city of Alturas. Where we will have a military and more traditional funeral based on the ways of our native tribe. Which will be a two day process with a night ceremony for the immediate family until the morning sunrise where he will be laid to rest as he will rise with the sun during the opening of the gate where he will be embraced by the creator.  This fundraiser is a much needed fundraiser to help support his son and the mission to carry out his father's wishes. So please help save a native for we are all tribal and we are all part of this planet now. Yet blessed with the souls we caring within until we are called home. I love you Pops, just know that you may not have had a chance to know your real parents and it is hard. But you did such an amazing job raising me your son and helped me raise my beautiful baby girl. And for that I am forever grateful. Go in peace father.
