The past two years of life as a full time traveling artist and worship
leader have been a beautiful whirlwind. Since my first EP, 'Your Time',
came out, the Lord has been continually asking me to go deeper and
farther in ministry. For years, it has been my dream to be in ministry, to use the gifts God has given me to (in some small way) help the poor
in spirit to experience and encounter His beauty and love. That dream
comes true for me on a daily basis, and while sometimes it's hard /
exhausting, I'd rather be exhausted for the Gospel than rested for
nothing. Working for the Kingdom is a humbling, amazing privilege and
journey. I am blessed to serve beside so many other artists and to have the support of my wonderful publishing company, OCP.
All of this being said, it's been two years since my first EP was released, so we thought it was about time to record another project. I can't even begin to express to you how EXCITED I am about this new CD! The whole writing and recording process is unlike anything I've ever experienced. For me, it's this incredible space in which I get to participate with the divine Creator, creating something out of seemingly nothing. This newest CD is a collection of 7 brand new songs written during a season of desolation. A time when I was desperate to experience God's peace and striving to trust with every ounce of my little heart, which is something I strive for everyday. The songs reflect a message of hope in times of desperation. They challenge me to remember that with every cross in life there is a resurrection. How important it is for us all to remember, in the words of Blessed John Paul II, that we are an Easter people.
Now, here is where you come in. Recording costs a lot of money! Much more than you would think. By the grace of God, half of the recording costs for the album have been covered already, but we are still around $9,000 short. The second half of the funds will be covering the cost of recording vocals, mixing and mastering fees, license fees (to pay the lovely co-writers who wrote the album with me), design, and CD production. SO, how can you help? You can donate through the link on this site! It's very easy, I promise. To anyone that has the ability and the means to donate, I am eternally grateful. Writing and recording music helps me to continue doing the work God has asked of me, and by you supporting this album, you are helping me to continue the mission that lies at the heart of this ministry: to truly go to the nations and proclaim the Gospel.
