Saqirah IS a smart girl who has reading dyslexia.
Saqirah now attends the Community School in Teaneck, NJ. Their mission is in helping bright children with learning disabilities achieve success commensurate with their abilities, intellects and talents.
This school is THE best place to help bridge the gap in Saqirah's reading.
Each day she receives 3 periods of Reading and English instruction. Saqirah's strengths have always been in math and science and are now fostered through tactile, hands on learning in those classes. This dynamic and nurturing environment is helping her gain more confidence in her abilities and allows her to express all of who she is and what she has to offer.
Saqirah now volunteers to read aloud in her classes. She offers to explain mathematical concepts to her classroom peers. These are things she was never able to do while attending the district public school.
We are so very grateful to be a part of this wonderful school.
