TWS Lahore Animal Sanctuary

TWS (Todd's Welfare Society) is a small non-profit organisation based in Lahore. The sole aim of TWS is to save, rescue and treat the street animals of Lahore. To help those that society shuns and mistreats.
In Pakistan there is no RSPCA or any animal laws in place to protect these vulnerable animals. The condition of stray animals is pitiful as stray dogs are either shot or poisoned. Animal abuse is rife as a popular sport is dog fighting. Other examples are of cats and dogs being deliberately run over and dog being dragged behind moving vehicles. We at TWS are trying to save animals against a culture where these animals are considered unclean or a nuisance. These animals have no one to turn to and live a life of pain, abuse and torture.
We at TWS have been helping animals with the help of foster homes or private boarding but the need for our own animal sanctuary is immense.
We are now in the second stage of our build as we have managed to build the boundary walls, link water and electricity and erect a gate but now need funds to build kennels, room for cats, separate area for infectious animals and a small fully functioning clinic.
Once our sanctuary is fully up and running we also hope to start a TNR programme in Lahore which will mean we will trap, neuter and release stray dogs. This is the most humane solution to reducing the stray dog population.
Animals such Ringo a recent rescue that are too sick and vulnerable to be released back will have a safe place to live out the rest of their lives in our sanctuary.
Please help us to reach our target as we are ever so desperate to save lives. Please note all donations will go towards the sanctuary as we all work on a purely voluntary basis.
