Help Sam walk again

Our sweet adoptable Sam. He has wanted to have an active home since he was rescued by Dogwood Rescue Society last year. He loves to hike, go to the beach and always checks over his shoulder to ensure you're near while he is ahead on the trail. Just when adoptions started to pick up this Spring and he had several applicants interested in him, he ruptured a disk in his back. How that happened, no-one knows. One night he was fine, the next morning, he had trouble with his hind legs. One of our volunteers took him to surgeon, Dr. Gordon at Boundary Bay and Sam had a costly operation but currently he is semi-paralyzed and needs a home who can provide him with therapy. He wants to get up and move about but is confused about why are his back legs not working.

You can see the confusion in his eyes. Sam is a reserved, thoughtful Weimaraner. He is one of those dogs who has not had very good luck because last year he was relinquished by his owner and placed in a pound, where he became very anxious. Happily, Sam has been fostered, until this health issue, with people who love him but he needs more than love right now. He needs donations for special therapy and equipment which will help him build his motor nerves back. Dogwood Rescue Society is non-profit organization run by a network of dedicated volunteers. Donations made are to cover medical expenses, rehabilitation, transportation and food for rescues like Sam.
