3 days before Bryce Samuel Baker’s due date, the excitement, anticipation, and planning came to a unimaginable and heartbreaking end.
This is the parents, Karissa Nepstad and Sam Baker’s, story...
“Bryce Samuel Baker was born December 28th, 2017 at 10:53 pm. He was 20.5 inches long and weighed 8 lbs 2 oz.
Sam and I went in for a weekly doctors visit on December 27th where our doctor was having trouble finding a heart beat. The heart beat that was found (which actually turned out to be mine) was slow for a baby so Sam and I were told to go to The Mother Baby Center to have them check for a heart beat and to make sure the baby was head down. Our nurse was having trouble finding a heart beat so she called in an OB (baby doctor) and she couldn't find a heart beat with the ultrasound, they then called in another OB who declared Bryce deceased at 39 weeks 4 days. I went into labor naturally on the 28th. We are unsure of the cause of death, but we are having an autopsy and genetic testing done to hopefully help find answers.
Sam and I are going through the worst time of our lives and time will not heal shit, you just learn to live with it and that is what we are trying to do. Please, respect our privacy and respect our unfortunate tragedy and what we just went through. We both have so many people in our lives who care about us and that has been absolutely amazing and we are forever grateful.”
Loved ones of this family have started this Go Fund Me page as a way to help ease the unexpected financial costs of losing sweet Baby Bryce. We know this will not take away the heartbreaking pain Karissa and Sam are going through, however it can ease some stresses they should not have to worry about.
