Family Survived Car Crash

Last month, my brother Sam, his wife and 4 of their children were in a horrific automobile accident. They were rushed to the hospital, some with life-threatening injuries. Sam broke his leg in several places and had to have surgery on his femur. He also sustained a broken shoulder blade with injuries to his spine. His wife, suffered 10 fractured ribs , breathing issues, a punctured lung, and spinal fractures which include the T10 vertebrae. As for his children, the 7-year old daughter broke her collar bone and also sustained multiple rib fractures; 14-year old daughter was severely injured with a crushed pelvis and head concussion; 16-year son suffered from mouth injuries and will need cosmetic dental surgery to repair; and 18-year old son's injuries were not as severe--thank God!
While there is never a "good time" to be in an accident, this came at the absolute worst time. Sam and his wife are proud parents of 12 children...yes 12 beautiful children. The injuries they have endured have left them in a position where they cannot emotionally, physically or financially provide the support needed to sustain the family.
Their vehicle was totaled, and unfortunately they did not have full coverage so they are left to go back and forth to the hospital and follow up appointments using Uber or depending on other family members and friends. Additionally, because there is no income, they were forced with separating the family with mom and the younger children going to Pittsburgh to stay with her grandma and dad and the older children staying with my sister and neice in Charlotte.
The road to recovery is long. Sam, the bread-winner of the household will be out of work at least 6 to 8 months and his wife even longer. The older children are looking for employment everyday and know they will have to help keep the family afloat. However, they can desperately use our assistance ,
Family and friends, I'm asking for your support to help this family. The past month has been terribly difficult for them. Not knowing when or where the next dollar is coming from for a meal or an Uber ride to the hospital; not to mention the soaring medical costs or more importantly, bringing the family back together under one roof.
Our family is trying our best to financially support him and his family. We are reaching out to those who can give $5, $10, $25 , $100 or whatever to help my brother's family recover from this terrible situation.
