Dominica Disaster Relieve - Sage

Donation protected
Dominica a small mountainous island in the Caribbean with a population of 73,500 people. They were hit by Hurricane Maria, which devastated the whole island. I spoke to a friend, Jerimie Lavinier who lives in Dominica and works for Dominica Electricity Services. I spoke to Jerimie after the hurricane and he told me about the chaos and suffering him and his fellow citizens are experiencing. Since they are a small and remote island, help is slow to come. When I asked him how I can help he said the best way to help is to send the following supplies:

-        Portable Generators
-        Lanterns and Flashlights
-        Water
-        Food
-        First aid kits
-        Tarpaulins / Covers
-        Sleeping bags
-        Mosquito Nets
-        Gloves
-        Basic Water testing kits
-        Water purifiers

Here is a statement from Jerimie Lavinier:

“We would be grateful for some portable water purifying machines as our water sources are becoming contaminated with sewerage and decaying flesh buried under mud and sand. Although we have many rivers, we are unsure where dead humans or animals may be. Maria has caused as much water damage as wind damage and most of the deaths has been as a result of rushing flood waters.”

Your monetary contributions will be used to buy the supplies listed above and distributed to the people most in need.
