Sadira's Healing Fund for Lyme/PTSD

This is a fundraiser to help Sadira Kirkham, a 14 year old girl, recieve medical care for both Lyme disease and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Sadira was recently hospitalized and we are taking her to a residential treatment center that we have agreed on with the social workers and doctors at Seaton Shoal Creek Hospital where Sadira was initially hospitalized.
Sadira, now 14, has had Lyme disease and several co-infections (bartonella & babesia) since she was 6 years old. After fighting for several years to get better she was infected a second time in late 2012, making recovery more difficult. After a suicide attempt earlier this year, we discovered that in addition to the sometimes life threatening and imobileizing symptoms of the Lyme disease, bartonella, and babesia Sadira has complex PTSD, anxiety, and depression due to a number of violations of her intimate boundaries and other traumas, including a car accident, that she has experienced throughout her life.
Because of Sadira's maturity and her commitment to helping herself get better, she has been accepted to a residential treatment center for adults. This one of a kind center has the ability to treat both the Lyme and the emotional disturbances, which is key to her recovery.
Sadira needs these funds as soon as possible so that she can fully treat this extremely persistent illness that threatens her life and keeps her in unbearable pain.
Your donations will help Sadira to receive IV treatments, a special diet, to be in an environment where she is cared for, and to receive multiple psychotherapeutic modalities, as well as to help with childcare for our other child while Sadira's mother accompanies her to the treatment center and her father (me) works from the crack of dawn until late into the night. The childcare actually will cost more than what I make each day.
Clearly, this situation is urgent. In recent months. Sadira's physical pain and emotional disturbances have become so great that she frequently feels that she wants to die. Sadira is an activist for peace, a food forrest volunteer, an artist, and a social justice warrior. The world needs Sadira, but right now Sadira needs your help. No donation is too small.
