Springfield Urban Mission Project

June 21- July 1 2015
The Springfield Urban Mission Project (SUMP), sponsored by New Hope Christian Ministries, wishes to spread the message of Christ to the lost; bring hope to the disenfranchised; and to encourage the body of Christ: through blending the gifts and talents of those in various academic and professional backgrounds with those of the entertainment industry. We desire to see the community of Springfield revitalized by the Power and Love of God by assisting existing ministries in planting “seeds of hope”.
Springfield is among the top one hundred dangerous cities in the United States. The city is tarnished by crime, corruption, poverty; and exploitation. This community is still rebuilding from the devastation left by the tornado in 2011. All of these conditions are optimal for breeding hopelessness in hurting people.
In this eight day project, we will assist partnering ministries in their humanitarian works; canvas the community with prayer; teach biblical principles; conduct resume writing and basic financial workshops; and use the arts to help reconcile the people to God. With the generous support of people like you, we will be able to help many families and individuals believe that there is a brighter future.
We would like to include you in the vision and mission of this project. By joining our community you will be planting a seed of love in Springfield and building the Kingdom of God. Partner with us in prayer and by investing your resources in to this work God has called all of us to. You will be ensuring the success of ten urban missionaries.
No donation is too small or too great; with the measure of love you give with your donation, you will certainly receive an abundant return. All charitable donations are tax deductible and non-refundable. A tax deductible letter will be sent to you by the end of the year for your contributions, just provide your email address.
Thank you for your considering to donate to the 2014 Springfield Urban Mission Project.
Sincerely,
Tara Francis
Co-Leader of SUMP and Urban Missionary.
