About Big Ass Fans:
Working with your HVAC system, Big Ass Fans circulate conditioned air to reduce load requirements in the summer and recirculate heat trapped at the ceiling in the winter.
SUMMER:
In the warm summer months, Big Ass Fans offer a perceived cooling effect of up to 10°F (5.6°C) while silently and evenly distributing conditioned air throughout the space. Operating solo, Big Ass Fans move stagnant air to achieve the same cooling effect, especially in facilities with tall ceilings, where small diameter overhead fans are pretty much useless

Big Ass Fans are slowed, not reversed, to efficiently destratify heat, slowly moving large volumes of warm air off the ceiling without creating a draft. The steady mixing of air creates a uniform temperature throughout the space, which helps the heater maintain the same thermostat setpoint with less effort, resulting in a serious reduction of operating costs – over 30% in some cases!
