SJ's Hope

This GoFundMe was created to share the journey and struggles that Stephen faces living with MS. Stephen was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in August 2003, and over the past 15 years, he has been treated with all the current medications available to help slow the progression of the disease. Unfortunately, the MS has a mind of it’s own and the progression has become debilitating.  After careful consideration, the next step is to go outside the US and try a treatment that will HOPEFULLY offer some relief and restore mobility. There are a lot of success stories but just like MS symptoms, the outcome differs from person to person and there is no guarantee. We have HOPE that with continued treatments the outcome will be successful and his quality of life will be improved. The first trip is planned and Stephen will be getting treatment at the Stem Cell Institute Panama in September.  This treatment cost is 100% out of pocket and typically more than one treatment is needed.  This is a risk, but at this time it is a risk willing to take to get his life back. The goal is to fund multiple treatments over the course of the next few years.
