Medical Expense

I would like to share with everyone the difficulty that my wife Sherri has been dealing with over the past 7 years.  Sherri has been dealing with a number of serious medical issues.  About 7 years ago, Sherri was suffering from constant headaches and dizziness.  After a number of doctor visits and medical evaluations, it was determined that Sherri had a tumor located in in the lining of her brain which needed to be surgically removed.  With the grace of God, the surgery was a success and there has been no further complications. 

 Since that brain tumor situation, Sherri has also been dealing with problems with her jaw.  Like her brain issue, she went through a number of x-rays and medical test, and it was determined that there is a tumor in her jaw bone as well.  This tumor is unrelated to her brain tumor.  After a couple of biopsies and a jaw surgery, the tumor has not gone away.  With a number of follow up appointments and consultations with her doctors, it has been determined that she will need to resect (cut out) a large portion of her lower jaw and have it replaced with the fibula bone in her leg as soon as possible.  Part of the reason for the urgency of this surgery is because as the tumor grows she will lose more and more of her jaw.  Her jaw will also need to be reconstructed.  It is estimated by the doctors that the surgery will take about 11 hours from start to finish and will involve at least 3 other surgeons.  The recovery period is estimated at 6 month to a year and will involved other procedures including teeth implants.  Our hope that this will bring an end to this ongoing issue.

 I am writing this because a surgery date has been set for February 26th, 2019.  The reason why I am asking for support is to help offset the considerable medical expense that will come along with having a surgery of this size.  I also ask that you send prayers and positive energy our way so that Sherri can heal quickly and get back to helping raise our 3 boys.
