SGU Supports LSU/LSART Flood Relief

Compassion towards animals is innate in all of us. During times of unexpected disaster it is important that we do not forget our connection not only to each other but to the worlds animals.
The St. George's University (SGU) SVM Alumni Association has initiated this fundraising drive to help support the animal victims of the recent flooding disaster that has affected so many people, pets, livestock & wildlife in Louisiana. As SGU SVM alumni, we are a proud group of veterinarians who all attended St. George's University in Grenada and many of whom spent their final year of clinical training at Louisiana State University (LSU).
The flooding has left many animals separated from their owners or left without appropriate housing. Thousands of animals have been forced into shelters due to this crisis. Some owners have animals in need of medical care but because the floods have taken away much of what they had, they are unable to pay for the medical care neeed.
Louisiana State University (LSU) and Louisiana State Animal Response Team (LSART) have teamed up to address these problems. Right now. Rescuing and treating animals in need and providing shelter for those who have been displaced from their homes.
But it all costs money. Your generous donations will go directly to the LSU Foundation in aid of their Veterinary Medicine Disaster Preparedness & Response program. Funds from this program are used to support rescue efforts, medical care and sheltering of animals We are grateful for any amount that can be contributed to this worthy cause. LSU has done so much for our SVM students over the years... now is the opportunity for SGU to give back!!
