Our priority is the safety of our players, coaches, families, and community members that participate and support our program. As coaches and trainers, our number 1 job is to ensure the safety of our athletes. However, this also means that our coaches and business have suffered immensely over the past months. As a basketball development program, social interaction is at the heart of our business structure. Regardless, we are supportive of the CDC and our local health officials' recommendations as we know that these steps will not just help but save lives in the long run.
SF Basketball Academy is asking for your support during this crisis. Over the past four years, we've built a program helping young athletes on and off the court. Many of our coaches have been involved in the community for 10+ years, working with students in local schools, after school programs, youth city basketball leagues, and much more. Our SFBA Coaches, like so many, will be impacted by the COVID-19 crisis and the financial hardships it has created. Your support will go towards paying our coaches, fixed business expenses, and the necessary funding to continue hosting programs once they are safe. We also hope to raise enough money to host several free basketball clinics for kids whose families have lost their jobs due to COVID-19.
It is with great humility that I ask for your support during this time.
Challenging times like these bring us closer together and reminds us of the importance of staying connected. Thank you for being a part of the SFBA Family, and I appreciate your support during this difficult time.
