We're proud to announce the Stephanie R. Becker C'06 Memorial Scholarship at the University of Pennsylvania: "A new endowed scholarship has been created to support students who distinguish themselves as leaders in mental wellness. The Stephanie Becker Fund created the scholarship and endowed it with $150,000 in honor of its namesake and 2006 College graduate Stephanie Becker" (full article at theDP.com). The scholarship is funded equally by the Stephanie Becker Fund and by UPenn and will be awarded to a student every year.

* There are roughly the same number of deaths by suicide (42,773) each year in the US, as there are death from breast cancer (40,610)

* Worldwide, more than 800,000 people commit suicide every year (one person every 40 seconds) and ~2.7 million people made a plan about how they would attempt suicide in the past year
