Nathan's Racing Wheelchair

Hello, I am Gina Dorsett, Nathan's mother.  I am raising funds  to buy a running wheelchair for him.  Nathan is 18 years old and  was born with a rare birth defect that left him mentally, physically,  and visually impaired.  He has been in a wheelchair since he was 4 years old.    He has always enjoyed going fast in his wheelchair, but his chair is too heavy and not built for running.   I am a runner and  finished 2 marathons and many half marathons and 10k races. My husband also runs and has run races with me.  Last year a running friend asked if I would like to have Nathan pushed in a running race chair.    Excitedly,  I said  yes.  I have always dreamed of doing that but the chairs are very expensive.   I was able to push him in the race, "Coke 10k"   that my hometown puts on every year,  and we had the most amazing fun filled day.       
The chair he was pushed in the day of the  race  is actually too small and he needs extra support to hold him up.  The picture was before the race and by the time we finished he was slouching and not supported.  I investigated and found a company that specializes in custom made chairs.  Axiom Racer is the name of the chair.  It has custom seating and support he needs while riding, just like his everyday chair.  The cost of the chair is $4500.  I have saved $500 and  we have a long way to go....
Any amount would be greatly appreciated to get Nathan involved with us running, training and having fun running in races.
