On September 28, 2011, we lost a great friend, husband, teacher, and father to be.  I have been trying for 18 months to figure out how to honor his memory.  Ryan was passionate in his life, and it was cut way too short.  We miss him everyday. Ryan was such a giving person of himself, his energy, and his life, that I wanted to find a way to be more like that. 

I have decided that I am going to run my first half-marathon in his honor. I will be running in the God's Country Half-Marathon on June 2, 2013.  This is a race that is 13.1 miles across Route 6 in Potter County, PA.   I am attempting to get sponsors/donations that will be distributed at your choice to one of two options.  I will, at your direction, give your donations to the Ben Ryan Trust Fund (Ryan's Son) or the Penn State Hershey Center for Pediatric Cardiovascular Research.  The gift will be given in Ryan's name. They research finding heart defects in young children to help prevent the huge loss we all experienced with Ryan.

There is no donation too small.  Even $1 would be welcome.  Please contribute and help me reach my goal of $2500.00.
