Before Mark's extensive shoulder surgery back in May, he and Chip Wilson started work on a recording of their acoustic duo show. In the one free day after recording and mixing Mark's "Songs for the Hangman's Daughter" they got 5 great performances down. Now that Mark's recovery has progressed, on December 3rd they will be back in the 6 String Ranch studio in Austin TX with producer extraodinaire Matt Smith to record another 6 stracks, get a few overdubs done and begin mixing.
We're headed there to do it, even though we have no access for the funds to do it presently. Thus we're under the gun and ask you to pre-order this recording and are offering a few perks to entice you. (Seriously, we got bubkes.)
The costs are as follows:
$1200 for the studio and producer
$500 for mixing
$750 for mastering at Jerry Tubb Audio
$225 for travel and maybe a lunch or two.
(We'll be crashing on couches and packing baloney sandwiches to save dough.)
We're super excited about this release, which is utterly unlike anything either of us has put out thus far. We've got all original material from both of us and it will be the very first recording effort with Mark soley on Mandolin (!!) Our producer is super happy with what we have down thus far and we feel confident we can get it all wrapped up, with your help.
If you have the means, please consider contributing. If not, please share widely on your social media.
As always, we can't do this without your continued support. Never forget, we only have each other to rely on.
