Roxy's Road to Recovery

Dear Friends and Family,
As you may or may not know, our beautiful cousin Roxanna Messa suffered a series of severe hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes on February 25, 2017. Roxy was immediately admitted into the Neuro Intensive Care Unit where she remained in a comatose state for several weeks under the watchful eyes of the clinical team, family and friends.
We were all told that Roxy would not survive this kind of catastrophic brain damage. Numerous neurosurgeons, physicans and nurses explained to us that her chances of survival were slim to none. Despite what the doctors said, Roxy fought through it and miraculously woke up from her coma!
Although she is no longer in a comatose state, she is considered to be "minimally conscious." Therefore, she still has a long road to recovery that includes 24/7 nursing care, physical therapy, speech therapy, a primary care physician, etc. She is receiving this treatment now but her medical insurance will not cover this for much longer and these expenses will have to come out of pocket. As you could imagine, this will be an extremely demanding financial burden as Roxy will be undergoing continuous rehabilitation.
On behalf of our family, I am reaching out because we need your help in order to continue Roxy's journey on her road to recovery. This time is extremely critical to her progression and she needs our help now more than ever!
