Roxy Given Funeral Expenses

Roxy was truly an angel who always had a smile for everyone, always did her best to take care of everyone, even when she didn't have enough for herself.
Roxy became unemployed last June and had been struggling to make ends meet ever since. She wound up in the hospital on her birthday this past December after suffering from several heart attacks. She had two procedures to implant stents in her worst clogged arteries. One was done at the time of her initial hospital stay, and the other was done just a couple of weeks ago. Because of her financial situation, she qualified for a special financial assistance program that covered these medical costs 100%. This was a huge relief for her. She also started working as a CPR and First Aid Instructor in the last few weeks and was beginning to see the light at the end of what had been a long, dark tunnel. Things were just starting to turn back around for her when suddenly that white light she was seeing revealed itself to be "the other side." Roxy was taken from us suddenly but peacefully in her sleep this week.
Unfortunately, because of her financial situation, and the fact that the state of the current ecomony means that many are struggling, her family could really use some help with her final expenses.
Roxy was one of my dearest friends and this is my effort to help her family. She was like a sister to me in many ways. She was one of my maids of honor in my wedding last September. She taught me so much about how to cook and how to care for my own medical condition, and always had smiles and hugs and laughter to share. She was precious to us and we hope that all of her friends can pitch in even a couple dollars to honor her memory. If you didn't know this amazingly talented and loving woman, I'm sorry you never got that chance. I hope that you will feel moved, too, to help us defray her funeral costs. And always remember to let your loved ones know how much you love them! Thank you.
