Rossana's last dance

Donation protected
Hearts broke on Feb. 15 2018, as our dear Rossana Llorens left this world far, far too soon.

Rossana was diagnosed February 2015, just months before her wedding, and their Honeymoon was a trip to the Chemo ward on the 6th floor of the BC Cancer Agency.

A gruelling and sorrow filled 3 year journey ended as Rossana was surrounded by loved ones.

She quietly exhaled her final breath with the soft touch of Marko, her husband’s hand upon her face, with his arms around her as he lay beside her in the VGH hospital bed.

Tragically Rossana passed without her mother and father by her side because since her mother’s stroke in 2010.

Rossana and her Dad felt they could not risk telling her mom because she was too worried that she would die of a heart attack or another stroke right as she told her.

Without warning Rossana’s condition deteriorated suddenly and rapidly and we were not able to get her parents next to her in time as they were scheduled to arrive early the next morning.

She battled HER2Positive inflammatory breast cancer for three years.

·      This disease is not diagnosed by a mammogram or a lump.

·      When diagnosed it is already at stage 4

·      Signs are a swollen breast that is usually misdiagnosed and treated with antibiotics, delaying proper treatment.

·      This cancer is extremely rapid, aggressive and resilient.

Rossana enjoyed volunteering at Inspire Health Supportive Cancer Care.

Even through her severe pain, she continued to persevere and teach dance to cancer patients, as recently as this past Christmas, 6 weeks before her death.

Her goal was to lift their spirits, and give them hope and love.

She was truly a beautiful soul, selfless and compassionate. She has proven herself to be the epitome of strength, courage, kindness, and Love.

Her final wish was to be buried in Chile, her native country where her family lives. Our goal is to grant that wish, so that her parents may find peace and comfort from having her nearby. She cared endlessly for her family and always put them first.

We ask for any donation, to cover Medical bills incurred, as well as Funeral costs. We will post updates regularly.

Rossana & Marko's goal is to set up a spousal cancer support foundation, it's critical to keep the spouse strong during these journey's.

Thank you in advance, and God bless everyone
Rossana always said right to the end of life.
Enjoy Life and Don’t Ever forget to Dance!!!!!!
