UPDATE:
Isabella is back in St. Louis. Saturday October 28 while at school Isabella received a ICD shock that didn't correct her arythmia so the device shocked her again. Isabella fianally went back into synus rythum. St. Louis insisted that she be taken to them that night so at 3am St. Louis Intensive Care Ambulance pick up Isabella and Alicia and took them to St. Louis
It was decided that Isabella needs another surgery. Isabella needs an Left Cardiac Sympathetic Denervation for Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia. This is another surgery for Isabella but since Isabella also has NF1(Nuerofibromitosis) they will need to do some scans to make sure she doesn't have any leisons on her lung. If she does the sugrery will take longer because they will adress that issue as well. Although this come with risk and side effects this is the best route for Isabella and hopefully will help reduce the amount of arythmias that she is having. Any help you can give the family while they are staying at the hospital. This is going to be a long week of tests and procedures. The family is going through a lot this week .
My daugther Alicia (Ward) Burton daugther Isabella collasped at school on Friday October 2, 2015 while running the mile. She was rushed to the hospital by ambulance.
Isabella has CPVT (Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia). She had an ICD (pacemaker) put in on October 7, 2015 and the surgery went well. She is awake and smiling praise the Lord. Often times the initial symptom of CPVT is sudden death. We are very blessed to still have this smiling face with us. There is still a long road ahead, she is still recovering from short term memory loss and a few other temporary things due to the seizures this is combination with the 3 month check ups and we are asking praise and for prayer as they continue along the road to recovery.
This will be a life long battle for Isabella that she will have numerous appointments and drives across the state for treatments.
Isabella has been very brave and strong through this entire ordeal.
