Arena Remodel

Hello!

Thank you so much for visiting my GoFundMe page.  You may already know that about a year and a half ago I quit my desk job to pursue my passion as a dressage rider, trainer and teacher. I spent a year as an intern with modern dressage master Paul Belasik in a program that can best be described as a post-grad quality riding and training education. I recently returned home and have started a steady business riding and teaching.  I am a passionate, positive teacher and rider who delights in sharing the art and discipline of dressage with anyone who is interested.  I am so grateful to be working with horses and the people who love them.

It is essential for me to have the use of an indoor arena for year round training and teaching, ensuring that the education, conditioning and dreams of riders and horses are kept alive through the cold, dark winter.  RiverQuest, a local farm, has agreed to partner with me and be my home farm, but the indoor arena needs to be modified and improved to better suit dressage and be as safe as possible for young horses in training.  I am fortunate to have support from several local business and friends who are contributing some materials at a reduced cost.  Together, myself, the owner of RiverQuest and a local Lusitano breeder are doing all the labor.  Please help us reach our project goal of $5,500 to build kickboards (4ft wooden walls inside the arena), a covered tack up area out of the wind and snow, a small wash rack for bathing horses and improved footing to keep the horses' legs healthy and sound.

Your donation benefits more than just myself - RiverQuest hosts kid's camps in the summer, clubs such as 4-H and Pony Club, offers a location for schooling shows and visiting educators who teach the wider equestrian community.  RiverQuest has long been an important member of the riding community here.  Who knows how many kids have learned to ride at RiverQuest?!

Please know that even a small donation of $5 or $10 will help to buy posts, lumber, hardware and gates.  All those who donate $100 or more will recieve a lesson or horse evaluation from me and ALL who donate will be listed on our poster of appreciation to be hung permanently in the arena.  Thank you again for visiting!
