Feed Rockport - Harvey Recovery

To provide hot, homemade meals to hurricane-stricken Rockport, Texas first reponders and anyone else who wants to eat. We will be barbecuing sausage, chicken, brisket, Boudin, etc.
All monies raised will go towards funding this effort and any extra money will be given to needy families of our choosing in the Rockport area.
As most of you know, I love Rockport...It has been one of the big biggest memory makers for my family and friends. We own a couple houses on Key Allegro Island as vacation rentals but we are also able to use them from time to time. The pictures and videos are my experience of hurricane Harvey from Wednesday afternoon staying at the hotel in Portland to early Friday morning in Rockport after the destruction of this powerful hurricane. I arrived in Rockport around 6:45 AM and was able to be one of the first folks to drive on Key Allegro island. It was a humbling experience when I got there. I had heard rumors, as I was driving to Rockport, that Key Allegro had been leveled. To my surprise that was not the case. Although KA was hurt pretty bad and our houses did have some significant damage, It is all rebuildable. But, that being said the folks in Rockport are really the ones who are hurting. I am now safe in Austin with my family and have a big desire to help the people of Rockport. So a group of us have decided to mobilize some people and equipment to head down to Rockport to help feed the needy people and first responders. We have folks from Austin already interested in helping, as well as, folks from Gonzales Texas, you know the place where the "First Shot a Texas Revolution was Shot", to head to Rockport Wednesday and Thursday to help. Several people have asked how they can help, so we started this Go Fun Me page to help with the needed resources to fund this project. Folks in Austin can call me at [phone redacted]. The other way you can help is by providing or donation the following items:
Generators
Fuel can/tanks
Canned goods that would go along with a barbecue
Large coolers
Large pop up tents/pavilions
Chain Saws
Satellite phone and/or satellite booster for Internet connection
ATVs(would be nice to have one or two of these)
I will be taking down my 18 foot trailer along with my smoker. We will be barbecuing sausage, chicken, brisket, Boudin, etc. your typical Tailgate affair.
