Roberto's Road to Recovery

On Monday afternoon, May 22, while taking his daughter to buy a dress for her first school dance, Roberto was involved in a serious accident. While Sophie was able to escape the vehicle despite her injuries, Roberto was trapped inside with severe injuries. Emergency responders employed the Jaws of Life to extricate Roberto from the vehicle but his long road to recovery had just begun. During the accident, the roof crushed Roberto’s head, fracturing his neck and right shoulder, among other injuries. While he currently maintains sensation in his extremities, he is in a great deal of pain and extremely limited in his movement.

Roberto, a self-employed general contractor, and the sole supporter of his family of seven, is just beginning the slow process of recovery, rehabilitation, and healing. Due to the nature of his injuries, it is unclear if or when Roberto will be able to return to work, leaving his family without income, while accumulating significant medical and rehabilitation bills.

As difficult as it is for Roberto to accept, he and his family need your help. The money will be used to pay medical and rehabilitation bills, support the family, and allow Roberto the peace of mind he needs to recover.
