Robert Menter's Medical Fund

We are making this page to give everyone who loves my dad a way of staying involved and updated on his status. He is a man who is loved and close to so many, we want everyone to know how much their thoughts, prayers, and support have meant to us in the last few days.

To give some background I'll say a little about my dad as I know him.

Robert Menter is a lively, thoughtful, and Godly man. He is a talented painter and musician, an avid cyclist, and an involved member of a strong church family. He is many things to many people: a devoted husband, a loving father in a large and tight-knit family, a cycling partner, a lifelong friend, and a steadfast mentor to many in his faith. He is a leader in so many ways because of the spirit and perspective he brings to every situation. He loves to travel, but is just as happy to enjoy a Sunday afternoon nap on the couch.

My dad is one of the most lively people I know, which makes it so hard to see him suffering.

On Thursday, January 8th, he went to the doctor complaining of asthma that he believed had returned after years and years. He was having trouble breathing for quite some time, and felt sluggish and just not himself. The doctor immediately recognized him symptoms not as asthma, but as atrial fibrillation and congestive heart failure. He was sent to the hospital and has been residing in the intensive care unit since that afternoon. He has been under the care of trusted and caring doctors, nurses and staff. He has even been brought comfort by members of the staff that have discussed God's love and plan for him. We are very fortunate to have such a caring team working on him.

Dad, along with the rest of our family, has been blown away by the outpouring of love and concern we have received from near and far. We are truly blessed by my dad, but also by the incredible support system he has through all of you. We ask that you all continue to lift him up to God and pray for peace of mind, and healing for his body.
