Friends and Colleagues of Robert Logsdon,
Our dear friend and colleague, Robert Logsdon, has recently been diagnosed with bone cancer. As many of you know, Robert is the pioneer of Lazure painting in the United States. He has been creating healing environments in homes, schools and commercial settings for decades; touching thousands of lives through his work. Now he needs our help.
Robert is facing medical costs, including the alternative and on-going Iscador treatment, that is not covered by insurance. At the same time, his condition will affect his ability to continue working as fully as he has, thus adding to his financial challenges.
Along with two other American Lazurists, Robert is working on writing an illustrated book that for the first time chronicles the history and scope of Lazure painting in America. This definitive Lazure book will include a history of Lazure painting, the color theory behind Lazure, the aesthetic benefits of Lazure painting and its context in the art and design milieu of our time. The book will also include an extensive portfolio of images.
Robert has come to realize with the advent of his illness that he would like to focus his efforts on completing this project. While some money is needed to cover his medical expenses, the balance of what can be raised will go towards supporting Robert in doing the necessary work of completing this book that is integral to life’s work.
We are hoping to come together as a community of friends, family and colleagues to give generously to this fund to help Robert at his time of need.
